| Guitars have been around since the 14th century. But it didn't have 6 strings, it had five strings. In the 16th and 17th century the guitar got its 5th string. In the 18th century the guitar was modernized, there was a 6th string added, they also chenged the shape by increasing the curve of the waste, thinned the belly, and changed the internal bracing. The guitars tuning nobs also were chnged from wood to a modern metal machine head. |

| The electric bass guitar gets its start from the early double bass. One of the first known bass instruments is the Viola da Gamba which was over 8 feet tall, had 6 or 7 strings, a bow was used to play it. In the 19th century the bass couldn't decide between haveing 4 strings or 3. Later the bass finaly decided on 4. |

| The drums started in Africa thousands of years ago. The used them for battle victories When Africans where took as slaves they brought there musical culture with them. Which caught on in Europe. Europeans also used drums related to battles, they were used to command troops. in the 19th century the first drumset was put together. A standard drum set consists of a bass drum, snare drum, ride cymbal, hi-hat, crash cymbal, floor tom, and one or two mounted toms.Early drum sets however typically only consisted of a bass drum, snare drum, and hi-hat. |
